That's right, my reader(s)! I'm back! You know, at first, I didn't
really feel like updating, since for some reason, FireFox won't let me
make new entries because, well, they're FireFox, and my Internet
Explorer icon was all the way across my desktop. This
semester is going great! I'm with my former roomate, Chris, who is
graduating at the end of the semester. :'( Ah, well, they come, they
go... and it seems like I'm going to see A LOT of people go not only in
the spring, but if I don't get my ass in gear, I may even be seeing my
"age"-level friends walk a semester or two before me! The card
game fad is alive and kicking, even with my one-semester hiatus. We
plan on going to a regional on Nov. 11th, and we hope at least ONE of
our team members top 8's. I managed to win two local tournaments since
I came back, so that helps my confidence in going to the regional
tourney. We watched "Final Fantasy Unlimited", much to our dismay, and
thankfully, it was only a 25-episode ordeal. Now, we're trying to watch
Naruto, but we're only on episode 7, after two weeks! I've evangelized
Meg into watching Full Metal Alchemist, of which, she's up to episode
18 of 52. Oh boy, Meg. When I came back from the summer, it was
almost like a dream, seeing her again. I mean, sure, I saw her once at
my house, once at hers, and once at school during my recovery hiatus,
but being able to see her every day was just soooooo soothing. But for
some strange reason, about two weeks into the semester, the
relationship got a bit flat. We both noticed it, and we didn't love
each other any less, it just seemed like something had gone missing.
Well, I think it might have been the fact that I was so used to doing
what I wanted to: games, and what-not, without having to have to go to
Marian to hang out with Megan. So, in essence, I think I was just lazy
towards the relationship, mostly because I took a semester off from
her, as well. (as a negative side-effect. You all know why I wasn't in
school last spring, duh.) We talked and all last spring via phone, but
it's just not the same. At any rate, the relationship has taken off to
new heights - it's like we're falling in love with each other all over
again! Which reminds me, our two-year anniversary occurred at the
beginning of the month! I made her dinner (tacos - her choice, believe
it or not) and got her the new Weird Al-bum. How many guys can say they
did THAT for their two-year anniversary! By the way, meg got me a
little sonic head to put on my computer, and the book "dry all night".
The bedwetting thing has been a running joke since I was a freshman. I
belong to what is called a "Household" here on campus. Actually, I
helped found it with three other guys, last semester. I know, it sound
weird, like "how could he have helped make a household whilst in New
York?" Well, when the idea was first pitched, I didn't really give a
care. I thought "Oh boy, another household." But, after a while, things
started coming up like, they were going to be called the "Warriors of
Light", which I LOVE the name of for two reasons: 1. I've always, for
some reason been affiliated with warriors since I came to college. 2.
Final Fantasy I - Light Warriors. Four Light Warriors. Four Founding
members of the Warriors of Light. The common room that they were going
to get was the very room that I stayed in my first semester here! I'm
sure you're asking "what's a household?! can I eat it?" No, silly! A
household is a sort of prayer group here on campus that has a
particular devotion to certain religious figures, virtues, among other
things. Our big thing is honor, chastity, and being stewards of our
bodies (though I must say, I've gained quite a girth since school
began.). Each household is designated a "common room", which is pretty
much a dorm room, but empty, and it's our job to fill it with stuff so
that people can go in there to study, or spend time with those of the
opposite gender. Our common room has the stereo system I inherited, two
chairs, a table, two couches (which were DONATED!! dude, how lucky are
we?!), and two rugs that almost cover the entire floor. Households also
have what are called commitments, for instance, On tuesdays, we say a
Rosary together, on Wednesday, we work out, and on Thursday, we have a
Holy Hour at the Port Chapel, which has 24-hour exposition. Every
household has one thing in common - Lord's Day. Always observed on a
Saturday, these rituals are to prepare us for the mass the next day,
with a reading and discussion of the Gospel for the Sunday mass. Most
other households have loud, (obnoxious) FoP-tastic music, ours is more
prayerful. In order to join a household, one must go through an "intent
process", which takes a few weeks. It's this feature that kind of makes
these things fraternities and sororities. The intent must accomplish certain
tasks, yadda, yadda, yadda, then they are officially a household
brother. Our sister household is the "Ladies of Light", which by no
coincidence whatsoever, is the household the Megan founded about 2-3
years ago. My household brothers are Jay Yirak, Ben Bisconer, and
Anothony Kelly, and his brother, Kevin, who is an intent. Damn. did I write all THAT?! sorry for wasting you time, there! I should turn this into a wikipedia article! Stupid Mets. Stupid, stupid, Mets. Let's
see... what else has happened to Kade in almost recent history...?
Uh... I discovered Ramen!! It's best friend, cancer will probably find
me real soon!! What else... Oh! Youtube! I found Youtube! I have
a few videos on there, if ya wanna look. I can't find their URL's right
now, 'cos they're doing like, some, maintenence thing. I literally
don't watch tv anymore, becaus I know, the next day, it will be on
Youtube. Gotta love it! Today, Megan helped braid some fishing line so that I can attach it to the spare stereo remote so that the string doesn't break, and to prevent the remote from finding its way into someone else's room. I
think that's all for now... I should be updating both my myspace and
xanga profiles. That means more pictures, ACTUAL pictures of me,
videos, audio.... yeah, "my myspace page is all totally pimped out"!!
Send me a comment if you know what that line is from!! | | |
| hmph. Apparantly, The picture my site was linked to has gone away. I went to my site and said: Hey! There was a picture there!! Well, I got a new one. You're probably better off reading with this one- not as many colors.
I liked the old one... | | |
| Wow. I mean, really. It's been so long since I've updated, or even HEARD FROM ANYONE!! I mean, the only thing I've heard from ANYBODY is the fact that rachael said that "we would talk" before the end of break. Winter Break. As in over a month ago. I mean, sure, I haven't called anybody. I was busy almost the entire break. I couldn't just call someone for an update. Receiving a call, however, is different. A friend calls, you talk, and you forget about life for a while. And I can't really call anybody now. Not from my house phone. I hardly even know anybody's phone number at school. (except Rache's, but I have no phone card, or cell, but I don't even know her schedule.) NOBODY knows what I've been through the last month and a half. Mostly because I have to fucking time to do anything on my own. I work six days a week. I hardly have time to call Meg once a week. Well, at least during the most important stage of her nursing major, I'm not a distraction... Hell, I only go to the fucking library once a week just to check on my e-mail.
whatever. bye. | | |
| I just finished Fullmetal Alchemist... sort of. There's a movie in
Japan, and it will be released in English sometime soon...that's the
final episode. Damn, though. It's over. The better half of my summer,
and the second half of this semester, spending time to get to know the
brothers Elric.
Ah, well. I hope I don't feel this bad when the I read the final Pages of Harry Potter VII...
Well, we're now heading into the final stages of this semester. That
means nazi hours, where the RA's don't have to be so democratic about
how they write people up. I'll be losing Anthony as a roomate soon, but
that was expected. Chris will be coming back from the other side of
"The Gate"... I mean Austria. (Damn you, Fullmetal!!)
Oh!! And my hard-drive casing came in!! That means I have 300Gigs of
memory to cart around!! I can fit my entire hard-drive on there 7
times, and still have 20 gigs left!! I'm putting the Fullmeatal AVIs on
it. Just ask, and I'll get them to you somehow. They're in Japanese,
subtitled, and you'll need a divx player, (it's software... nothing to
worry about...) but I got 'em.
In lighter-hearted news, I recently OWNED at this tournament!! I went
8-0 going into the finals, (I won all four of my 2-out-of-3 matches
with no losses) and placed int he top four by beating my first opponent
2-0. Then, in the semi-finals, I got crushed by a burn deck... 0-2. Ah,
well. I have the stat sheet. S. Kade Grevas is at the top, due to a
flawless day. Hopefully, if I can get there Sunday, I'll win the whole
thing, finally!
Anyway, I'll see you later, Rache. (seriously, who else reads this?)

| Okay, so the "listening to" section is broken...
Hello agian. Back from THX-giving!!
My five days home.... could NOT have been better.
Okay, maybe they could have been, but I still had a damn good time!
Wednesday, I got home at 3am. I slept till noon, and began cleaning the
living room. After which, we had gone out to see Harry Potter: The
Goblet of Fire. I'll elaborate on that l8ter.
Thusday, I, of course, stuffed myslelf. I haven't had a meal that
quality in a loooong time. (too used to the cafe) Anyway, my mom makes
the BEST thx-giving dinners!! She puts a small, flavorful twist on the
most basic stuff... and it tastes GREAT!!
Friday, I spent my day watching my brother play starcraft, and I did
some other random stuff, too.... I just can't remember what it was...
The real action was at night, though. I almost didn't make it to see my
old high school friends. ( I almost went to the wrong resturant!) The
thing is, though, usually, we do some random stuff after.
Unfortunately, the only ones doing this were Jess, Mike, and I. We saw
Harry Potter.
Saturday, I spent my day at Wendy's House She's my mom's friend, and
also my God-Daughter's mother. We saw the Polar Express while we were
there. I didn't like it. The book was better. This movie...they just...
tried too hard...
Sunday, I spent the day traveling. I got back at around 9:30, to find
that A-train actually REMEMBERED to bring back my e-bay pruchases this
time!! (We accidentally sent them to his house, and he forgot them when
he was there over halloween) Nick got a PS2 slim for his birthday,
along with DDR and two dance mats. AWESOME!!
Now, about Harry Potter... I thought they were stupid for trying to
stuff 752 pages into 2.75 hours, but they tried it, anyway. They should
have put it into 2 movies, so that they release 6 months at a time. But
anyway... I will admit, the director took some pretty bold royalties
(that's the right word, isn't it?) with this movie. He changed a few
things around, and (of course) took A LOT of stuff out, but for some
strange reason, it all worked out pretty well. The problem is, with
these movies, that since they get longer, the more they have to cut
out, leaving only the most important stuff to be seen and the other
sub-plots and minscule details aside. The problem is: THAT'S WHAT MADE
THE BOOKS SO GOOD!!! with miniscule details and sub-plots, th book felt
complete, like you got a picture of the entire school year - not a
fast-forwarded ersion of it! Ah, well... maybe they'll do better in the
next sequel...
